The content of Tuyuefu in this field is very rich and heavy. On July 1st, we choose works that express the musicians' affection for the motherland and analyze and appreciate them together with our music friends.
The speakers at this session are LEO and Tang Ping, the former vice chairman of the Guangzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles and musician.
LEO will explain his technique of recording live for the 15,000 chorus held in Guangzhou in 1995.
Tang Ping will deeply analyze the Russian composer Glinka and his masterpiece "Ruslan and Lyudmila" overture. He will also interpret the Czech composer Smetana and his masterpiece "Voltava". Xian Xinghai and "The Yellow River Cantata" will also be analyzed. Introduce the Chinese chorus conductor Yan Liangkun and others.
Finally, Tang Ping will explain the wonderful process of the "Yellow River Cantata" held by 15,000 people during the 1995 Guangzhou China Xinghai Music Week.
Opera "Ruslan and Lyudmila"
The opera "Ruslan and Lyudmila" was made in 1842. Describe an ancient legend. At the wedding banquet of the samurai Ruslan and the princess Lyudmila of the Grand Duke of Kiev, the troubadour predicted that the newlyweds would be in disaster, but the faithful love would make them suffer from good luck. The overture of "Ruslan and Lyudmila" is developed based on the contrasting theme in the opera. The whole song is full of bright colors, joy, festive mood and heroic and courageous spirit.
Smetana and his work "Voltava River"
Smetana (1824-1884), Czech composer. He held a piano recital at the age of 6, and began to compose at the age of 8. Smetana's Symphonic Poem Suite "My Motherland" has six movements. "Voltava River" is the most beautiful and famous of the whole symphonic poems. It incorporates the emotion and will of the Czech nation and becomes a symbol of the Czech nation.
Xian Xinghai and his work "The Yellow River Cantata"
Xian Xinghai was born in Macau in 1905. In 1929, he went to work-study program in Paris and studied under the famous violinist Pani Obedofil and the famous composer Paul Ducasse. In 1938, he went to Yan'an and served as the dean of the Music Department of Lu Xun Academy of Art. In 1939, he created "The Yellow River Cantata". His representative works include "On the Taihang Mountains", "Going Behind the Enemy", "Production Movement Chorus" and so on.Yan Liangkun
Yan Liangkun is a student of Xian Xinghai, a master conductor, one of the founders of the chorus career in New China, and the most authoritative interpreter of the works of "The Yellow River Cantata". In 1995, it was the 50th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, and it was also the 90th anniversary of Xian Xinghai's birth. Guangzhou held a grand national music festival-China Xinghai Music Week.
