On January 3rd, as the holiday drew to a close, ShengYa Audio Flagship Store hosted its first music appreciation session of the 2021 New Year. We invited Eric, moderator of HiFi168, and Jay from Ligao Audio to join this listening event.

The equipment used for this event includes:

CD-1 Compact Disc Player

At the start of the event, Eric, moderator of HiFi168, shared his thoughts and insights on why he favours ATC, together with the glass CD of Sister Drum that he brought along.

Mr. He, founder of ShengYa Audio, took the floor to introduce the ShengYa equipment in this system. He mentioned that the PSM‑368 was pushed to unleash its peak performance thanks to Ligao. It is his most satisfying creation over his 30 years of equipment development, the fruitful outcome of three decades of technical accumulation. The PSM‑368 delivers an astonishing 250 watts of pure Class A output. Remarkably, while boasting immense power, it reproduces sound with exquisite detail and emotional expression.

Lastly, Jay from Ligao Audio introduced the ATC loudspeakers used in this event to all audiophiles. Starting the year before last, Ligao Audio partnered with ShengYa Audio to custom-design amplifiers exclusively for ATC speakers. The ATC 50SE features upgraded cabinets, crossovers and stands compared with the 50 model, and its drive units have undergone the strictest matching and screening. Both the 50 and 50SE adopt a three-way design. Two types of Kimber speaker cables were used for the demo.

We enjoyed classic records brought by audiophiles on site, including Sister Drum, Chen Jia’s Meeting Teresa Teng Again 3: Barcarolle, and Tengger’s Paradise. Every timeless track captivated the audience, leaving everyone immersed and reluctant to leave. Some audiophiles also shared their audiophile insights with the crowd, and the whole event proceeded in a vibrant atmosphere.

When the one-day appreciation session came to an end, audiophiles still longed for more. Right after the thank-you dinner, we added an extra evening session on the spur of the moment.

2021 marks the 30th anniversary of ShengYa. This appreciation session kicked off our series of 30th-anniversary celebrations. We sincerely appreciate the ongoing support and trust from countless audio and music enthusiasts.
