New Release: Shengya PSM-300T (30th Anniversary Edition)

The PSM-300T (30th Anniversary Edition) is launched by Shengya Audio to commemorate its 30th anniversary. It is a mono fully balanced hybrid tube-solid-state DC power amplifier. What makes it different from the original PSM-300T? Let’s compare its appearance, components and specifications.
The meter has been redesigned. On the original PSM-300T, the meter only served as an operating status indicator, showing whether the unit runs in Class A or Class AB mode.
Revised by our R&D team, the meter of the PSM-300T (30th Anniversary Edition) now displays output power, allowing you to clearly monitor power output with a dynamic visual effect. In line with our product philosophy, the power meter features a black background with green scale markings. It enhances visual appeal and achieves a more refined aesthetic design.

Secondly, there is an upgrade to the control buttons. The three buttons on the PSM-300T (30th Anniversary Edition) adopt a different material compared with those on the original PSM-300T. The anniversary model uses gold-plated stainless steel, while the original version features aluminium. They deliver a completely different tactile feel.
Lastly, changes have been made to the panel silk screening. To mark Shengya’s 30th anniversary, we introduced a subtle adjustment: the 30th anniversary LOGO is printed on the front panel with gold ink. Paired with the gold-plated buttons, the gold silk-screen print greatly elevates the premium texture of the amplifier.

Beyond the cosmetic upgrades, what are the core differences between the PSM-300T (30th Anniversary Edition) and the standard PSM-300T?
The most significant distinction: the standard PSM-300T operates in pure Class A up to 50W, while the anniversary edition extends its pure Class A operation up to 100W. In addition, it features upgraded vacuum tubes for differential voltage amplification and rear-panel connectors, among other improvements.

JJ Electronic ECC88 Vacuum Tube
The new PSM-300T (30th Anniversary Edition) mono power amplifier also adopts a fully balanced architecture. Its audio input stage uses JJ Electronic ECC88/6DJ8 vacuum tubes for differential voltage amplification, while the output stage consists of 24 high-power transistors for robust power delivery.
The switch on the left side of the front panel is for operating mode selection. When activated, the unit enters pure Class A mode. In this state, the PSM-300T 30th Anniversary Edition delivers 100W of pure Class A power into an 8Ω load. Once the power exceeds 100W, it automatically switches to Class AB operation. It can deliver a rated output of 300W into 8Ω, 600W into 4Ω, and an impressive 1100W into 2Ω! Few loudspeakers will pose a challenge for this powerhouse.

The power supply has also been upgraded, as it forms the foundation for robust drive capability. For the PSM-300T (30th Anniversary Edition), Shengya employs a high-quality toroidal transformer with a power capacity of 1500VA. The filtering section consists of audio-grade capacitors connected in parallel with a total capacitance of 120,000μF. Besides the ample total capacitance, parallel connection reduces inductance. Its ultra-low internal impedance meets the demand for instantaneous large dynamic bursts, laying a solid foundation for the PSM-300T (30th Anniversary Edition) to deliver powerful drive force.

Lastly, to satisfy audiophiles’ pursuit of ultimate sound performance, the PSM-300T (30th Anniversary Edition) is equipped with two sets of inputs: XLR and RCA, switchable via the front panel. This allows users to conveniently connect two preamplifiers with different tonal characteristics. The XLR connectors are made by Switzerland’s NEUTRIK. The RCA and speaker terminals are gold-plated units from Germany’s WBT. Internal audio cabling uses premium cables from USA’s Kimber Kable for more ideal signal transmission. The AC inlet is also carefully selected: a gold-plated unit from Japan’s FURUTECH, paired with an imported audiophile-grade fuse. All these are designed to deliver superior sonic performance for users.
